Who is a Holistic Health Coach?
Holistic health coach is a mentor and guide who has been trained in holistic health coaching to help clients reach their own health goals by helping clients devise and implement positive, sustainable lifestyle changes.
As a Certified Holistic Health Coach, I have studied literally 100s of dietary theories and I can help you discover and design the approach that works best for you. Holistic means that I look at the whole person. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual practice are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. My aim is to give you the tools to transform your life and your health forever.
A holistic health coach is not a psychologist, doctor, dietitian or nutritionist. I do not take the place of your primary care physician, and I will not tell you that I can treat, cure or heal any long-term illnesses.
How is a Holistic Health Coach different from a licensed dietician or nutritionist?
Nutritionists and Dieticians are trained to assess your nutritional needs and provide counseling around health and disease. Plans are designed based on their findings.
How I am different is that I teach you how certain foods work in your body and how to simply build those foods into your life. We don’t focus on counting calories and fat grams. Instead I encourage my clients to understand how to assess the quality of a food, and how learn how it works in their particular body. The tools that I teach are used over a lifetime.
My programs also reach far beyond the food you eat to find the balance in your life through holistic approach.
What are most of your clients like?
I love to work with women who are just as I was. They struggle with sugar cravings, mood swings, weight gain, energy loss, anxiety, and depression. They don´t feel good in their own body and are worried about poor health in the future. They want to heal their gut, lose weight, have more energy and feel balanced.
I work best with clients who are willing to be a little patient and trust me in the process. My approach is not about a quick fix. The important thing is that you are committed to putting in some time yourself.
What type of person would not be an ideal client?
My programs are not for people who want to count calories, measure out portions, looking for subscribed diet plans, with details on calorie counts, specific numbers for protein, carbs, and fat intake.
I do not work with people who are content to stay on prescription meds for the rest of their lives, and look to others to ‘fix’ them. I choose to work with people who are ready to invest in themselves, are willing to be patient, trust me in the process, understand that healing takes time, and involves other levels such as emotional, spiritual, mental and physical.
How fast will I see results?
Since everyone is different, it is hard to say. However, you get out of it what you put into it. Most of my clients see changes within the first two sessions. If you want to see results that are lasting, you will welcome the big transformations that happen a few months into the program.
How will we work together?
You will receive support from me during one-on-one coaching sessions via Skype. During the sessions, we will talk about your current concerns and goals. We start with whatever is most important to you at the time. I will provide support, guidance, and lifestyle recommendations to help you reach your goals.
How long are your program?
My health coaching program “Wholy Life” is six months long. I know that it takes time to make lasting lifestyle changes and I don’t want my clients investing their time and money in a program that won’t yield lasting changes. My clients are usually amazed by the changes they have made, and the life-changing impact the program has had, at the end of the program. Six months also gives us enough time to experiment and determine what works best for you.
However, if you are highly motivated and prefer to do all the work by yourself, then my program “Smart Start” might be for you. We will have a two-hours coaching session and after that you will have my support via e-mail during the first month.
Do people continue working with you after finishing the programs?
Yes, many love the ongoing support. Most people find that they have achieved their original goals by the end of their program, but often clients want to go to the next level. I am always glad to continue working with clients offering different packages – from weekly motivating check-in e-mails to monthly coaching calls etc.
How are the payments organized?
I accept bank transfers as well as credit card payments via PayPal. For the program “Wholy Life” You can pay either on a monthly basis or for the whole program at once. Clients who choose to pay in full enjoy a discount – one month for free! “Smart Start” program has two options – one payment or two equal payments.
Where are you located?
I am happily location independent, spending most of my time on Muhu Island, Estonia. I work mainly by the internet via Skype and see clients from all over the world. You don´t have to travel to enjoy our sessions, you choose your own location and time.
